  1. What if it rains?

No problem, The Grand Lady seating is fully enclosed, so she sails rain or shine.

 

  1. How should I dress?

Casual attire is appropriate on all cruises aboard The Grand Lady. Some groups may be celebrating a special event and may dress up according to their event. 

 

  1. We will be celebrating a birthday, can we bring a cake?

Yes

 

  1. Will I get seasick?

It’s very unlikely because the Grand Lady sails in the calm waters of The Grand River. In addition, The Grand Lady is large and stable; therefore, in most cases you can hardly feel the boat moving.

 

  1. Are Credit Cards Accepted?

Yes. Visa, Master Card, Discover and American Express are accepted

 

  1. Can I make reservations and pay at the boat for tickets?

If you use a credit card to pay for reservations, the card is charged at the time of reservation

 

  1. Where can I mail a check or money order?

  1. How far in advance should I make reservations?

Individuals can make reservations as early as 6 weeks prior to the cruise they are interested in, based, of course upon availability. Groups should try to make reservations as early as possible.

 

 

  1. What if I change my mind, or am unable to go?

Can I change or cancel my trip?

Cancellations must be made at least 4 days in advance. Cancellations may be costly, if you cancel within 4 days prior to a cruise, your entire payment will forfeit. 

 

  1. When is the office open?

Our office is open from 10:00am to 6:00pm Monday through Saturday, May through October. Please leave a message-calls are returned promptly.

 

9.What time should I arrive at the boat?

Please arrive ˝ hour prior to the departure time listed on your brochure.

 

Special tips for smooth sailing:

·       Reservation changes: To avoid confusion and for our guests’ security, the person who places the reservation should be the only person to call us with any changes. When you call, be sure to have your reservation number on hand.

·       Smoking Policy: The Grand Lady is a non-smoking vessel. However, for chartered events, smoking is at the discretion of the person/people chartering the boat.

·       Special Occasions: If you are scheduled to sail on a public cruise, you or your group will be one of many on board. On open cruises, speeches, banners, table decorations, etc. are not appropriate.  Please respect the other guests onboard.

·       Seating: Every seat aboard is a good seat due to our riverboats; panoramic windows. Seating on all dining cruises is reserved. Table sizes range from 4 to 8-your reservation may not have a private table, and large groups may be seated at adjoining tables. Specific seating requests cannot be guaranteed. Please notify us of any special needs for disabled access.

·       Parking: Parking is available in our public parking area between The Grand River and the I-196 expressway. Parking is free.

·       Alcohol: There is full beverage service available on both decks of The Grand Lady. For a chartered cruise, you may arrange a cash bar, open bar, and or/beverage tickets. Any open bar or beverage tickets will be subject to an 18% service charge. NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES MAY BE BROUGHT ON BOARD BY CUSTOMERS! (state law)  You must be 21 years old to purchase alcoholic. Proper photo I.D. required. 

 

 

 

Seating for all meal cruises is predetermined before boarding. We do our best to accommodate special seating requests, however, because our capacity is limited, certain seating arrangements are required depending on the group size.
